Broadband. PTCL provides high speed internet with unlimited downloads to cater
the demand for browsing, online streaming, gaming and learning across Pakistan.
The company provides the largest fied-line-network in
Pakistan.
The headquarters of the company is in Islamabad and sub-ofces are in all major cites of Pakistan. The
company have revenue of PKR 31.83 billion that’s US$190 million.
Ptcl services
PTCL is the only government Tele-Communicaton company working in Pakistan. The company was
incorporated back in 1955. PTCL is 62% owned by Pakistani Government. 26% of the company is owned
by a UAE communicaton company named Etsalat which was sold by the Pakistani Government to this
foreign company in 2005. So, The remaining 12% of the company is owned by the General Public.
The company is in-fact a signifcant opportunity for Informaton Technology and Networking students. It
provides a job for all the students. At this tme 18,000 peoples are employed in the company.

Voice
PTCL provides its best fied-line telephone services in all major cites of Pakistan.
Internet / high-speed broadband
Because PTCL is Pakistan’s largest ADSL2+ provider, it provides its customers with ADSL broadband. So,
now because of increasing demand, PTCL is upgrading its customers to VDSL2 in Karachi, Lahore,
Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Queta and Peshawar.
Wireless Network
PTCL also provides wireless internet services in Pakistan. There are 2 devices used in Pakistan named as
“Nitro Evo” & “Evo Charji”. This wireless network uses PTCL’s 1900 MHz WLL frequency that was
previously used for its Vfone network. There is LTE coverage in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and
Islamabad having speed up to 9.3 Mbit/s.
Ufone is also a sub-company of PTCL. It is the fourth cellular provider in Pakistan and the smallest too. It
offers both GSM and 3G internet services. Pakistan Telecommunicaton Company Limited PPTCLL started
an eiceptonal WiFi service called ‘Managed WiFi’ back in September 2014.
IPTV
PTCL also offers digital TV services well known as Smart TV.
Netlii
PTCL and Netlii signed a collaboraton agreement in October 2016 to provide its customers with highquality streaming content without commercials.
